Reservations cannot be accepted via phone or email - bookings will only be accepted with the official booking form and payment in full (by cheque, postal order or cash).
Your booking/s will be acknowledged via email with a receipt.
Bookings are final once your booking form and payment have been received and acknowledged.
We reserve the right to refuse any booking on the grounds of either a full allocation of a particular craft or the crafter/trader failing to abide by our ethos. If your booking is refused you will be informed by email and your cheque destroyed. We may also refuse your booking should you fail to supply a Risk Assessment Form or PPL details.
Cancellations by the organiser - If the event is cancelled by the organiser or the venue for any reason, you will receive a full refund of stall fees.
Cancellations by stallholders - If your cancellation notification is received more than 14 days prior to the event and we can arrange someone else to take up your space, then you will be given a refund of stall fees less 15% to cover administration and postage. Cancellations within 14 days of the event will not allow sufficient time for this and you will therefore not be eligible for any refund of stall fees.
Late stall availability through cancellations.
In the event of any date being fully booked, if you wish to have your name put on a waiting list in case of any cancellations, you must supply us with a contact telephone number, preferably mobile, to allow us to contact you at short notice.
Requests for power sockets and/or special positions within the venue will be taken into consideration and every effort made to honour your request. However, these requests will be balanced with the need to ensure no two similar stalls are placed together.
Table loan
(Doncaster Deaf Trust, North Notts Arena & QEGS)
Tables are limited at these venues, and tables will be allocated on a first come first served basis, based on the date of receipt of your booking form. After this point you will need to provide your own table. If you request a table on your booking form but the allocation is already filled, you will be notified immediately by email. Table spaces are based on a standard 6ft trestle (no more than 30” in depth). Tables of more than 6ft will be charged extra on a proportional rate per foot.
Extra rails or small tables you may wish to bring and utilise can be accommodated if notified on the booking form but will be charged for the floor space they take up by the foot. If you wish to take up additional space but have not requested it on your booking form we cannot guarantee this space will be available on the day – we have a requirement to consider access for stallholders and health and safety issues arising from overcrowding.
Double depth stalls (one table behind the other) although incurring no extra charges these will be limited in availability.
The ‘Selling Line’ – the demarcation between the front of your stall and the customer walkways. Additional display platforms or rails in front of the selling line will not be permitted as this would cause an obstruction and impede customer flow along the walkways (and could constitute a tripping hazard). Any extra rails or display platforms must be accommodated within your allocated/booked space and must be placed behind the selling line.
Electrical items - All electrical items (lighting, etc.) which are not battery operated must be fully PAT tested to comply with each venue’s insurance liabilities.
Risk Assessments
In order to comply with venue health and safety regulations we are asked that all stallholders provide a completed Risk Assessment form. There is a separate form for each venue which we must have ready for inspection by the venue staff on the day if required to do so. Therefore, for each venue booked, please complete the relevant Risk Assessment Form and return it to us with your booking form.
Public & Products Liability Insurance (PPL)
It is a requirement of our insurance cover and also the insurance of each venue that stallholders carry their own PPL. This is relatively inexpensive but will cover you in the event of a member of the public being injured.
Cover can be obtained from as little as £28 per annum as part of a subscription to the Artists Information Network. Click on the link for more details.
Packing Away. Stallholders and Traders at Candice Crafts events are requested to refrain from packing up prior to the advertised closing time for each event, unless specifically directed to do so by Candice Crafts staff. Should circumstances arise which mean you need to leave early, please notify Candice Crafts staff at the earliest opportunity.
Late arrivals – we reserve the right to refuse entry to any stallholder arriving at the venue less than 15 minutes before the official opening time to the public. Such late arrivals will not be eligible for a stall fee refund. However, if, on the day, you are experiencing problems with traffic etc., please contact us on our mobile number/s (see the Contacts page) at your earliest convenience and we will make the necessary allowances and assist you wherever possible.
Parking and Loading/Unloading. If directed by marshalls to unload and/or park in specific areas, please assist us by complying with their requests – they have your best interests in mind whilst trying to accommodate large volumes of vehicles and people in a short space of time. Each venue will necessarily have different parking and loading restrictions with which we have to comply. Likewise, if requested by marshalls or other Candice Crafts staff to move your vehicle to an alternate location, please assist us by complying with their requests.
Our Ethos for Craft Fairs – All crafters wanting to take a space at our Craft Fairs must convince us that their goods are handmade by themselves. We will not accept anyone with bought-in goods or goods made by a third party.
Our Ethos for Gift Fairs – All traders wanting to take a space at our Gift Fairs must convince us that their goods are made in the UK. We will not accept goods made outside the UK as we are hoping to promote British produce and industry.
Disputes. In the event of any possible dispute or diagreement between stallholders at any event, the decision given by Candice Crafts staff will be final.
These terms and conditions apply to all craft fair events organised wholly by Candice Crafts. Although on occasion we do help organise events for other parties (including charities), we cannot be held accountable for refunds at events where the funds are not paid directly to Candice Crafts.
By making a booking for any Event organised by Candice Crafts, you are deemed to have agreed to all of these terms and conditions.
Please feel free to contact us if you require clarification of any of these points, as we are only too happy to assist and advise.
