Pre Event

Advertising
We design eye-catching banners to display outside venues prior to each event. Press advertising in the local press is large and in colour. Local radio is utilised. Colour promotional flyers are available on request. We also have a range of downloadable promotional material which you can utilise to promote the events you’re attending. In addition to this, in early 2012 a major magazine advertising campaign will be running to promote our Online Shop and we expect a fair amount of visitors will explore the events section of our site too.

Website promotion
Your name or trading name will be added to the web page promoting each event you’ve booked along with a brief description of your craft. Also, if you send us images we will incorporate them into the web page too. And, if you have a website, we will add a link to it so visitors can go directly to your website (a link will also go on our Links page).

Crafters Gallery
Crafters on our database who don’t have their own website can have a page of their own hosted on our website for a small annual fee. In this way you can have a presence on the web which you can advertise to your customers. This page can carry any text and images you supply – we will design it for you and seek your approval as it gets published to the internet. Contact details and forthcoming events are a good idea to add on your page but you will need to remind us by email to update your dates.

Multiple booking discounts
If you book every date at any venue you will qualify for a 10% reduction on your stall fees.

Refunds
We are currently the only organiser we know of who gives stallholders a refund of stall fees in the event of an unavoidable cancellation (subject to our terms and conditions).

Receipts
Every booking is acknowledged via email with a printable receipt for your payment.

Position preference
We give stallholders the option of asking for particular positioning at our events. We give you the opportunity of being placed adjacent to friends. We also take into account requests for power or other special requirements such as double depth stalls or ‘safe’ positions for fragile goods.

Peace of mind
We ask that all stallholders booking our events carry their own PPL (Public & Products Liability Insurance). Far from being yet another unnecessary expense, this cover is not only low cost but essential should someone have a mishap and wish to claim against you. We can even advise you where you can get cheap cover.
Risk assessment forms are also extremely helpful in identifying possible dangers and we provide you with a template to assist you in this regard.

Consultation
When seeking new venues we will always ask for advice from crafters in that area as to whether they think that venue would be good for our events. As we can’t know every area personally, we rely on feedback from our crafty friends in this regard. We are also open to any other constructive suggestions or advice which may help us to help you better.

Directions etc.
We provide comprehensive details on each event/venue including directions to the venue, floor plans, refreshment facilities and any other pertinent information we think you may need.

What’s added value?
Added value is the sum total of extra bits and pieces, additional services and considerations you get at Candice Crafts events which you are unlikely to get with any other event organiser.
As stallholders ourselves for many years, we think we know something about your needs.

At the Event

Free Admission
All of our events are free to enter for the public. We feel this is an important factor in how much visitors will spend on the day.

Free Parking
Any parking charges for you increase your costs on the day and parking charges for visitors may make them less inclined to spend. We therefore ensure all our venues have access to free parking.

Indoor Venues
Since we’ve suffered some extremes of the British weather ourselves as stallholders, we have a policy that all our events are indoors.

Free Prize Draw
At each event every stallholder is issued with a free prize draw ticket for a chance to win £25. The draw is made at each event and the winner listed on the website. You can put your winnings towards future stall fees if you choose.

Name badges
We have found that customers like to know who they’re talking to and so we issue name badges for you with your name and trading name.

Demonstrations
At some venues we have the capacity to include a space where you can demonstrate your craft to an audience, by prior arrangement. We offer special stall discounts to crafters who are willing to put on a demonstration. This could be just the opportunity to get the public engaged in your craft and of course stimulate sales.

Organiser presence
We are present all day at our events so we are available for any queries or problems you may have. We also have staff on site acting as parking marshalls who will assist you in getting on site and unloaded conveniently and efficiently, where appropriate.

Disabled Access
We ensure all our venues are accessible to people with disabilities or mobility issues, eg. Wheelchair friendly and provision of seating. We also have staff on hand to provide help and support when required.
